Automating secondary billing portal entry

The Problem

When handled manually, limitations in EHR/billing systems, coding variations, and portal submission requirements can all add a significant bottleneck when it comes to secondary billing. The result is a tedious, time consuming (and therefore costly) billing process.

The Solution

Simple Fractal engineered a custom, autonomous RPA bot to identify secondary claims. The bot scrubs the EHR for billing details (client, DOS, procedure, etc.), logs into the payer portal, and submits them, all without human intervention. Bots even capture the payment status and update the EHR with posting details.
